Workshop with Tony Vincent
February 18–March 24, 2026
Online in Google Classroom
Register by January 30th and save $20!
Imagine creating your own classroom apps and tools without touching a single line of code and actually having fun doing it. With vibe coding, all you need is an idea and the right words. In this online workshop, Tony Vincent shows how free AI tools like Gemini, Canva, Claude, and ChatGPT can turn your prompts into working, web-based apps.
Think custom games, timers, brain breaks, randomizers, and other small but mighty tools. Everything is built from your descriptions and designed for real classroom use. You’ll see inspiring examples, learn practical prompting techniques, and follow clear workflows that turn ideas into interactive tools you and your students can use right away. By the end of four weeks, you’ll have the confidence and skills to invent digital experiences that match your teaching style and classroom needs.
Vibe-coded apps can be as simple as a countdown or more involved, like a classroom game show that brings a little buzz to the room. Because apps created with free AI chatbots do have limitations, projects in this workshop are intentionally small, focused, and single-purpose. That makes them perfect for learning, iterating, and actually using.

What You’ll Learn
In Classy Vibing with AI, you’ll learn how to:
Decide when vibe coding makes sense and when another tool is a better choice
Use free AI tools to generate and refine code
Collaborate with AI before writing any code
Make apps visually clear, friendly, and usable
Use a Product Requirements Document to define an app’s flow and feel
Apply the Engineering Design Process to app development
Use divergent thinking to spark better ideas
Think about user experience and basic game mechanics
Use helpful terminology that gives AI clear context
Build in accessibility and accommodations
Work around common limitations and issues
Test, debug, and iterate efficiently
Publish and share apps in multiple ways
Just as importantly, you’ll learn from your classmates. Expect idea-swapping, lightbulb moments, and plenty of “ohhh, I could use that!” reactions. The Google Classroom becomes a space for sharing ideas, seeing different approaches, and learning from one another’s creativity.
Is This Workshop for You?
Classy Vibing with AI is designed for educators at any grade level.
No prior experience with AI or coding is required
Tony starts at the beginning and builds skills thoughtfully week by week
You should be willing to experiment, problem-solve, and push your creative thinking
Support is always available, and questions are welcome by email
Who This Is Not For
This workshop may not be a good fit if you are looking for:
Traditional programming instruction or deep computer science concepts
Advanced app development with databases, user accounts, or complex back-end systems
Mobile app development for app stores
Step-by-step recipes that produce identical results for everyone
Tools that fully automate teaching or replace student thinking
Classy Vibing with AI focuses on small, practical, teacher-made tools and thoughtful use of AI as a creative partner.
No Subscriptions Required
Everything in this workshop can be completed using free tools. If you decide to work on a larger project, you may choose to subscribe to Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude for a month to increase daily usage limits. Vibe coding often involves back-and-forth iteration, and higher limits can make that process smoother. Subscriptions are optional.
