Canva for Education is free for educators with a school email account. It gives you all the benefits of Canva Pro ($120/year), including millions of stock photos and graphics, instant background removal, and an array of premium features.
Classy Canva helps educators harness the power of Canva’s extensive features. Each Wednesday for five weeks I post an instructional video (usually about 60 minutes in length). The thoughtfully edited videos are packed with amazing ideas and tutorials that will take your design skills to the next level with Canva for Education or Canva Pro. You'll want to rewatch the videos to catch all the valuable insights and tips that help you create beautiful and engaging visuals.
Classy Canva is an interactive experience, and you'll get to share your designs with the class and receive feedback from your classmates and me. You'll be amazed at the creativity and inspiration that comes from seeing what your classmates create!
So if you're ready to unlock your creativity and bring a touch of class to your classroom, sign up for Classy Canva today! Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other educators. Let's create truly special things together!

Is Classy Canva for you?
I've designed Classy Canva so that whether you are new to Canva or you use it often, you'll be able to learn new tools and techniques and apply them to your own designs.
To get the most out of Classy Canva, participants should be somewhat familiar with using online tools and ready to overcome challenges and push their creative limits. But don't worry, I'll be with you every step of the way. During the five weeks, I'm available to answer any questions you have by email and provide feedback on your designs.
Google Classroom
The videos, links, and resources for Classy Canva will be posted in Google Classroom. After registering you will receive an email with instructions for joining the class. Please note that you must use a personal Google account to join the Google Classroom for Classy Canva. Unfortunately, Google Workspace for Education (school) accounts will display an error when joining the class.
It’s amazing how many students in your class have taken all your classes. That says something about the quality and value of what we get out of your course. We keep coming back

Optional Participation
Classmates can choose to be either active participants or silent onlookers. All assignments are optional and there are no grades. I do give feedback on every assignment that is shared in our Google Classroom. Additionally, classmates are invited to leave comments on each other’s work. It turns out that lots of ideas are exchanged in the comments.
After Registering
After registering you will immediately receive an email with directions for joining the class in Google Classroom. If you have trouble joining the class please email tony@learninginhand.com.
Upon completion of Classy Canva, you’ll receive a certificate where you can input the number of hours you invested in the workshop (most likely somewhere between 10 and 18 hours). You'll also earn the Classy Canva digital badge.
Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment or software do I need?
You'll need a computer, an internet connection, and a personal Google account. You'll also need a Canva for Education (free for educators with a school email address) or Canva Pro ($13 per month or $120 for one year) account.
Can I join the Google Classroom class with a school Google account?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Google Workspace for Education and Business accounts will display an error when joining the Classy Canva classroom.
Can I take this workshop for college credit?
Classy Canva is not offered for college credit. However, you will receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge.
How do I pay?
After clicking the Register button, you'll be asked for details about the person enrolling in Classy Canva. After clicking Register again, you'll be prompted for credit card payment information. The credit card can be the individual's, school's, or district's card.
If your school needs to pay by purchase order or check, please email tony@learninginhand.com and we can work out the details.
Do I need a promo or discount code?
Nope. You can leave the promo or discount code field blank when registering.
Am I required to keep pace with the class?
Nope. People have different preferences when it comes to online learning. Some like to keep pace with the instructor and post their weekly assignments on schedule. Others prefer to go at their own pace, watching videos and completing assignments on their own schedule, perhaps taking months to complete the workshop. Still others might wait until after all five weekly videos have been released and binge watch all the content. All three approaches are A-OK in Classy Canva. While I think you get the most from the workshop by keeping pace with me, there’s no pressure to feel rushed. You’ll have access to the Classy Canva class in Google Classroom, the weekly videos, and all the resources for years to come (but I hope you don’t take that long to complete the workshop).
How long will I have access to the class and its resources?
Participants have lifetime access to the Classy Canva class in Google Classroom, the weekly videos, and all the links. I want everything to remain online as a resource for you.
I'm really busy during the time the workshop if offered. Will you be offering Classy Canva again?
I do plan to offer Classy Canva again in the future. Click here to sign up to be notified about my online workshops.
Can I email you a question?
For sure! Send any questions about Classy Canva to tony@learninginhand.com.
