The workshop is focused on practical ways teachers can use free AI tools to help create resources, activities, and media. Each Wednesday for four weeks, I post an instructional video (usually about 50 minutes in length). My thoughtfully edited videos are packed with amazing ideas and tutorials, introducing you to a variety of new and notable AI tools.
Every week features a topic, related tools, and an optional assignment.
April 3 - Week 1: 🛝 Sliding into AI
Find out how generative AI works, understand its limitations, consider ethical implications, and see how AI can generate a slideshow presentation about any topic.
April 10 - Week 2: 🏞️ Generating Illustrations
Discover various websites and apps for editing existing images, and explore the best sites for generating images from your prompts. Get practical ideas for using custom illustrations in your work.
April 17- Week 3: 💬 Chatting Up Activities
Compare popular chatbots, and see an array of effective and innovative prompts to help you brainstorm and whip up customized content. Explore various AI-powered tools made specifically to help teachers plan lessons, tackle paperwork, and create resources.
April 24 - Week 4: 🕹️ Making Multimedia
Investigate different types of media you can generate with AI, including original music, personalized songs, customized videos, talking avatars, and interactive games.
Classy Creativity with AI is an interactive experience. You’ll get to share your creations with the class and receive feedback from your classmates and from me. Best of all, you’ll get to be inspired by seeing what your classmates create.

I've designed Classy Creativity with AI so that whether you are new to AI or you use it often, you'll be able to learn new websites, apps, and ideas.
To get the most out of Classy Creativity with AI, participants should be somewhat familiar with using online tools and ready to overcome challenges and push their creative limits. But don't worry, I'll be with you every step of the way. During the four weeks, I'm available to answer any questions you have by email.
Google Classroom
The videos, links, and resources for Classy Creativity with AI will be posted in Google Classroom. After registering you will receive an email with instructions for joining the class. Please note that you must use a personal Google account to join the Google Classroom for Classy Creativity with AI. Unfortunately, Google Workspace for Education (school) accounts will display an error when joining the class.
Access to AI Tools
This workshop uses websites and apps that you can use for free. Some AI tools may be blocked on your school or organization’s network or computers. I recommend that you have a personal computer you can use on your home network.
Optional Participation
Classmates can choose to be either active participants or silent onlookers. All assignments are optional and there are no grades. I give feedback on every assignment that is shared in our Google Classroom. Additionally, classmates are invited to leave comments on each other’s work. It turns out that lots of ideas are exchanged in the comments.
After Registering
After registering you will immediately receive an email with directions for joining the class in Google Classroom. Please try to join the class within 24 hours. If you have trouble joining the class please email tony@learninginhand.com.
Lifetime Access
Your access to the Google Classroom, videos, and resources never expires. It’s all there as a reference for you, and you can complete the class at your own pace if you fall behind.
Upon completion of Classy Creativity with AI, you’ll receive a certificate where you can input the number of hours you invested in the workshop (most likely somewhere between 6 and 10 hours). You'll also earn the Classy Creativity with AI digital badge.

What equipment or software do I need?
You'll need a computer, an internet connection, and a personal Google account. Some AI tools may be blocked on your school or organization’s network or computers. I recommend that you have a personal computer you can use on your home network.
Can I join the Google Classroom class with a school Google account?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Google Workspace for Education and Business accounts will display an error when joining the Classy Creativity with AI classroom.
Can I take this workshop for college credit?
Classy Creativity with AI is not offered for college credit. However, you will receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge.
How do I pay?
After clicking the Register button, you'll be asked for details about the person enrolling in Classy Creativity with AI. After clicking Register again, you'll be prompted for credit card payment information. The credit card can be the individual's, school's, or district's card.

Do I need a promo or discount code?
Nope. You can leave the promo or discount code field blank when registering.
Am I required to keep pace with the class?
Nope. People have different preferences when it comes to online learning. Some like to keep pace with the instructor and post their weekly assignments on schedule. Others prefer to go at their own pace, watching videos and completing assignments on their own schedule, perhaps taking months to complete the workshop. Still others might wait until after all five weekly videos have been released and binge watch all the content. All three approaches are A-OK in Classy Creativity with AI. While I think you get the most from the workshop by keeping pace with me, there’s no pressure to feel rushed. You’ll have access to the Classy Creativity with AI class in Google Classroom, the weekly videos, and all the resources for years to come (but I hope you don’t take that long to complete the workshop).
How long will I have access to the class and its resources?
Participants have lifetime access to the Classy Creativity with AI class in Google Classroom, the weekly videos, and all the links. I want everything to remain online as a resource for you.
