Camera Advice

  • Take photos and video in landscape
  • Touch an object to focus and white balance
  • Use the Up Volume button to take a photo
  • Organize photos into albums by tapping Edit on the Albums screen


  • Turn on Guided Access to lock students into one app
  • Turn on Speak Selection and Highlighting in General > Accessibility
  • Turn on Zoom on your iPad in General > Accessibility

Organize apps by putting folders in the dock and dragging apps into them. Later, remove the folders front the dock.

Folders and app organization must be done on each device. An alternative to to set up on iPad to clone.

Sign up for a Dropbox account to store, share, and receive files. Dropbox has an app.

After you have a Dropbox account, connect it to DropItTo.Me to get a custom web address where students can submit videos. It doesn't work well with images because they overwrite each other.

A free movie editing app is Splice. It includes titles and transitions.

Compose documents in Google Drive (Google Account required).

Make narrated screencasts and post them online using Educreations. See examples at
