You can download movies from various websites. The challenge is to download and convert the video into a format iPods can play (MPEG-4). Depending on the source, you might use an online video converter or iTunes to ensure playability. Here are Tony's quick directions for downloading from three popular sites: YouTube, TeacherTube, and United Streaming.
YouTube
- Find a video.
- Copy the URL for the video.
- Go to vixy.net.
- Paste the URL.
- Select MP4.
- Click Start.
- Wait.
- Download the .mp4 file.
- Select Movies in iTunes source panel.
- Drag and drop video from desktop into iTunes.
- Sync.
TeacherTube

Sign into teachertube.com
- Find a video.
- Click the link to download the video to your desktop (it will end with .flv).
- Go to media-convert.com.
- Click browse and locate the .flv file.
- Select "IPOD MP4 Video" for Output.
- Click the Accept box.
- Click Convert button.
- Wait.
- Click the Download button.
- Select Movies in iTunes source panel.
- Drag and drop video from desktop into iTunes.
- Sync.
United Streaming
- Find a video.
- Select QuickTime for media type.
- Click the disk icon next to the desired segment.
- Select Movies in iTunes source panel.
- Drag and drop video from desktop into iTunes.
- Select the video in iTunes.
- Select "Covert video for iPod" from the Advanced menu.
- Wait.
- Delete the .mov file.
- Sync.
